About Mr. Hasbrouck
Mr. Hasbrouck has taught theatre at GWHS since the 2014-15 school year.
Previously he taught theatre and English at Golden High School for 7 years and was technical director for D'Evelyn Jr./Sr High for several years before that. Mr. Hasbrouck has worked professionally in the Denver area since the early '90s as an actor, director, stage manager, light designer, set designer, sound designer, prop master, and stage hand. Venues included the DCPA, The Ascot Dinner Theatre, The Changing Scene, Fiddler's Green, and The Denver Victorian Playhouse where he was theatre manager and technical director for five years. Mr. Hasbrouck continues to work professionally as an actor with the One Night Stand Theatre Company (so called for its one-night-only productions of readers' theatre). He spends his summers teaching classes for the Mizel Arts and Cultural Center at the JCC down the street, where he has directed productions of Richard III and Macbeth. Recent professional acting credits include the roles of Lestrade in Sherlock Holmes and the Whitechapel Murders at the Byers-Evans mansion downtown and Thomas Putnam in The Crucible as an alumni guest artist at Red Rocks Community College.
